I love this bird! 💓 It is a master piece! Look at the posture of the bird.  How it is biting the little juicy red fruit! The pink flower and the surrounding leaves beautifully blend well with the entire photo.

"How do you find the bird and take the photograph?" I asked the photographer (Genesis-Castle).


I normally shoot them from a distance so that the bird do not feel threatened.  That's why we need long zoom lens for birding.  For post processing of the photograph, I used the "light room" app.

Common Flameback woodpecker (click to find out more) - commonly found in many places of Singapore. The male has a red crown; female has black. Both have black mustaches and olive green body.

  Sitting on the bench, the views to the sea is beautiful! From here, you can have a panoramic views of the sea, the “Sentosa Gateway” and blue sky. Sentosa Gateway Sit back and relax.
